Why we exist

A safe place to publish your work.

Many authors come to us with the same concern: they cannot see how many books have sold, what they have earned, or how their royalties were calculated. If authors cannot see the information, how can they know the truth?

At The Wave Storyworks, transparency is part of the publishing process. We explain what is happening from manuscript review through publication, distribution, sales reporting, and royalties.

See our transparency promise

Your book. Your direction.

This time, you are the captain of the ship.

Whether you publish under your own name or through our imprint, you remain the author. Your name stays on the cover, retailer listing, and author records.

Path one

Marketing should create opportunity, not sell an illusion.

The truth about marketing

Realistic goals. Honest reporting.

Marketing can build awareness, readership, engagement, and sales opportunities. It cannot honestly guarantee fame, bestseller status, a specific number of sales, or a fixed royalty amount.

We set campaign goals around the audience, genre, price, availability, timing, and author involvement. Where data is available, we report views, clicks, reach, and engagement, while clearly explaining the difference between attention and a completed sale.

What authors say

Stories behind the stories.

★★★★★
I'll be honest, I sat on my manuscript for six years because every publisher I talked to made it sound scary or insanely expensive. The Wave just walked me through it, step by step, with every number out in the open. Holding my finished book for the first time, I cried.
MRMaria R.Debut memoir
★★★★★
Two companies told me my story was too small, then tried to sell me packages I didn't understand. Nobody here rushed me or talked down to me. My voice stayed mine. That meant everything.
JDJames D.Literary fiction
★★★★★
I'd read the horror stories, so I kept waiting for the hidden fee. It never came. Clear price, clear timeline, and I can see my own sales in the portal whenever I want. I tell every writer I meet about them.
ATAnna T.Nonfiction
★★★★★
My grandkids were my test audience, and let me tell you, toddlers are brutal critics. The illustrations came out even brighter than I pictured. Seeing my name on a real book at our library story hour still does not feel real.
DKDenise K.Picture books
★★★★★
Everyone told me poetry does not pay. Probably true. But they treated my little collection like it mattered. Careful edits, a beautiful cover, and nobody once suggested I write something commercial instead.
SWSam W.Poetry
★★★★★
I wrote my book to bring in consulting clients, not royalties, and they were straight with me about what marketing can and cannot do. Every deadline met. The book looks sharp on my website.
RTRachel T.Business
★★★★★
I prayed over this book for two years before I trusted anyone with it. They honored what it meant to me and never once pushed me to water down a single chapter. My church bookstore carries it now.
GMGrace M.Faith
★★★★★
Sixty two years old and finally a published novelist. My kids thought I was having a midlife crisis. The editing was firm but kind, and the cover stopped me in my tracks.
THTom H.First novel
★★★★★
My first publisher vanished and took my files with them. The Wave rebuilt everything from a battered paperback, and my royalties finally make sense each quarter.

Questions, answered clearly

Know before you publish.

No pressure and no confusing promises. These are the answers every author deserves before making a decision.

Will my name still appear on the book?+

Yes. You remain the author, and your name appears on the cover, retailer listing, metadata, and applicable author records, whether you publish under your own imprint or through The Wave Storyworks.

Can you guarantee book sales or bestseller status?+

No ethical publisher can honestly guarantee a specific number of sales, royalties, reviews, or bestseller placement. We build realistic plans, explain what each service is intended to accomplish, and report available results clearly.

How will I see my royalties?+

Authors publishing through our imprint receive access to the Author Royalty Portal, where available sales progress, royalty information, and reports can be reviewed according to the publishing agreement and reporting schedule.

Can I publish under my own name or imprint?+

Yes. We support both routes. If you publish through your own account, platform payments can go directly to you. If you publish through our imprint, reporting and payments follow the terms of your agreement.
